Black Lips – Boys In The Wood

Atlanta gentlemen The Black Lips have been working with The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney in Nashville to bring us their brand spankin’ new album Underneath The Rainbow, to be released on VICE, March 18.  Their first single off it Boys In The Wood is going to be your new drunk sing-a-long, sexy love-making song or both at the same time. It makes it easy with its ever so laid-back, bluesy feel and cool vocals (talk about inspiration from BK?).

The film clip is anything but underneath a rainbow, and is certainly not for the faint-hearted. If like me, you imagine yourself at a party that’s coming to an end with each body’s drop, bottle of red in hand, lids closed, swaying on a ciggie smoke-drenched Persian rug mumbling along to the melody, then maybe save the video clip for another time. I do not like the boys in the video’s wood but this song be a lady-killer.
