Robyn Sherwell – Pale Lung

Robyn Sherwell is one of those artists where it’s hard not to be wowed into silence. Late last year we reported on her for the first time when she uploaded a pretty pop number in Islander & today we’re presented with a rather softly-does-it follow-up in Pale Lung. Within seconds of this going live there’s already a bunch of blogs posting for great reason & it’s mainly in the very soothing context of the track from the production that ushers in a sense of reminiscence, to the delivery of the vocals that feel’s like a purr across a production platform which supplements it all with a gentle electronic backdrop for the heartfelt r&b angst of the subject “feeling guilty of having feelings for somebody you shouldn’t.” It’s all seemingly much more professionally thought out than most stuff online surfacing.
