I Break Horses – Denial
Transported to a fairground in 1985 where a glittery set of waltzers are jammed for about 20 seconds until the nice gypsy man gives you a good shove…
Denial, is the retro-pop, lush-gaze newbie from Swedish duo, I Break Horses. It’s the first sound of their second album due out later this year on Bella Union. Harnessing their distinct brand of euphoric fuzziness this new track takes a more assertive route through the haze of multi-layered synths. Denial is as rich in body as their critically acclaimed 2011 debut, Hearts, but vocalist Maria Linden allows us a clearer listen to her throaty, husky tones.
There’s fairground magic here, and behind the smoke is what promises to be a great second album.
