RÜFÜS – Take Me (AdaptOrDie RMX)

It’s remixes like this that get me excited about the direction of Australian music. Take Me is a punchy, high energy, deadly contagious rework to an already killer Australian tune. Not only did they re-work it, they injected it with a healthy portion of deep house, Acid bass with hints of Adult-disco goodness.

At first the name AdaptOrDie may give you the impression that your about to listen to Extremist-Evolution-Punk but I guarantee after the first few bars you’ll be hooked. AdaptOrDie are a duo hailing from Adelaide consisting of touring members from Empire of the Sun and members from The Swiss. For a fairly recent act there is a confident maturity in production quality and I dare say we will be hearing more follow-up bangers in near future.

Take Me is an original by Rufus; an exciting new Australian indie-electronic act who have really only began to concrete there foundations in the last 18 months. In that 18 months they have verified there hype by providing some tasty party starters as well as persuaded sold out crowds both international and domestic to shake their caboose. Also massive Kudos to Rufus for a killer performance at this year’s Secret Garden Festival.  I have never seen a sea of people throw down so passionately to Darth Vader’s Imperial March, safe to say there were many onlookers heavily affected by the dark side.
