GOVS – Holy Infinity


GOVS may be described as the “bedroom band” of Gold Coaster Josiah Birrell, but Holy Infinity invokes a considerably wider world than can be contained between four walls. The railroads and heartbreak of a lonely wanderer are more likely.

The tempo would suggest one with time on his hands, but although it remains cautiously paced, it builds its layers of melancholic emotion throughout.

And that is the beauty of this track: that it makes you really feel something, even through its lo-fi layers of understatement. It makes us remember the footprints we all looked back for that weren’t there.

Holy Infinity is the first single from GOVS second EP, due out early next year. Also be sure to check out the video below.
