Inky Jack – EP
If Ratatat, TV on the Radio and Fat Freddy got together to jam on the moon, this is the kind of vibe you’d hear echoing through the craters. Listening to Inky Jack’s is like trying to see while driving at speed through a snow storm; it’s a wild, slightly confusing, but fucken awesome ride.
Meet four Brooklynites who are clearly not mainstream thinkers. Their flow, although born from some kind of insanity, is as natural and soothing as a river.
Originality is hard to come by, but Inky Jack have it in their DNA. They sound so damn effortless and real. Soulful vocal hooks, rocky guitar riffs, beats borrowed from hip hop come together to create an epic pilgrimage through time, space and genres.
If you’re lucky enough to live in NY, catch their EP launch party at Webster Hall on Sat June 8. Download via their bandcamp from the 8th…
