ODESZA – My Friends Never Die

After ODESZA’S gorgeous album of 2012 – Summer’s Gone – we’ve been waiting for more. Almost a year on, we’re finally put out of our misery. My Friends Never Die is due out on September 17.

Having mastered the art of glo-fi by creating an audible summer that seeps through your speakers like sun rays, ODESZA have moved onto new territory in My Friends Never Die. The fact he’s touring with Pretty Lights later year should give you a little insight into their new sound. It’s dirtier. The fuzzy vibes of slightly drunken euphonies are still present, but the bass is messed up. It’s ragged and tears through the pretty melody leaving a cerated edge of uncertainty in the air.

We like it A LOT. Come to the UK please boys!
