Matthew Dear – Fighting is Futile (Seth Troxler remix)

When you talk about deep house heavyweights it’s hard to go past Seth Troxler. In last year’s Resident Advisor Dj of the Year poll he knocked all other Dj’s in the dirt to claim number one position. The man’s legend doesn’t end there; he also managed to play more shows than just about any Dj last year and won the ADE Dj Cook Off for the second year in a row. Troxler’s latest feat see’s him remix Fighting is Futile by Matthew Dear who is without doubt a standout heavy hitter in the house scene himself.

Fighting is Futile is a nuke. The kind of bomb that is dropped at 3:30am in the darkest of sweaty warehouse parties with the hypnotic capabilities of a schizophrenic outbreak. The mesmerizing elements of this track are truly brilliant. Troxler has transformed this upbeat bouncy groove into a deep drug induced midnight swim. Spin through the sea of washing crescendo as its pulse murmurs under chanting vocals and screaming sirens.

This tune features on a Fighting for Futile Remix compilation with other remixes from KiNk and Benoit & Sergio, available now from The Ghostly Store.
