Late Nite Tuff Guy – Startin’ Somethin’ [LNTG Disco Remix]

Previously known as DJ HMC, the reputed ‘Godfather of Australian techno’, Cam Bianchetti re-emerged with a new sound in the late 2000s and donned himself Late Nite Tuff Guy (LTNG).

LTNG will take a classic disco, R&B and hip-hop track and stretch it out to savour its delectable dancey nectar, all the while managing to preserve the quality and impact of its original form.

Over the last few months he released the spectacular Startin’ Somethin’, a disco remix of Michael Jackson’s first track off Thriller, “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin'”

Other favourites of mine include “Do I Believe in God?” his remix of Prince’s single Controversy.

And of course, LTNG’s most famous remix, “Bless the Rains”: a remix of Toto’s Africa (below).

His entire catalogue is worth submerging into, most of which you can hear on Soundcloud.

Support LTNG by purchasing his stuff on Beatport or Juno.
