KAREN GWYER – LAY CLAIM TO MY GRUB
A warm synthetic embrace, the latest from Karen Gwyer is a wonderfully inviting success.
Over its 17-minute running time, Lay Claim To My Grub sees the London-based artist delving into long-form textural experimentation and piling on cold percussion, before ultimately stripping back the latter for an excursion into pure analogue bliss. Full of colour and constantly engaging, it’s really the type of track that is worth a look for anyone who has even the vaguest interest in listening to things.
Karen Gwyer’s New Roof EP is out February 17 on No Pain in Pop
