MTNS – Lost Track Of Time

This debut single from Brisbane band MTNS has as close to the perfect use of tempo as I have heard in a while. The layering is masterful in its simplicity, which invokes a space that is both atmospheric and emotionally charged. Lost Track Of Time has a certain melancholy seeping through it as it tries to crawl towards a sense of hope. Or maybe that’s the hope I feel for MTNS on the back of this confident debut.

Consisting of Tom Eggert (vocals/guitar), Joseph Thiang (drums) and Robbie Hellberg (keys), MTNS are further proof that they just keep producing some darn good artists up there in Brissy.
