Weekend Five

Happy weekend.  Here’s five tracks to take in and absorb to carry you into next week which will crazily be september too.  Anyone want to take a punt at early Christmas No.1’s?

Oyinda – Rush Of You

London born turned New York resident Oyinda is huge prospect.  Expect to hear lots more soon from this singer-songwriter  & producer who packs an instantly adorable vocal with vibrant production to create a very now sound.  This was a great tip from our friends at Hilly Dilly.

YURS – Race

Another act via London is this 2-piece duo going by the name of YURS who are for those fans of bands like Mystery Jets. It’s one of those perfect, upbeat indie-poppers.  Instantly repeatable.

Leo Stannard

Wouldn’t it be great to be as talented as Leo Stannard at the age of 18? The Leicestershire lad has  a nice, usual vocal with some great guitar work to boot which sets him apart.  Track Lost reminds us of Jamie T .

Nick Hakim

Nick’s not new to our website, Nick’s a genius. He’s in fact one of the most promising new prospects or 2014 & we predict the r’n’b swooner will go to the very highest level.

Let’s finish on CRUISR.  They’re a bit like a surfier version of Foster The People, and they’re on the very cool Vagrant Records.  They’ve been going since 2012 but this very much feels like the start of things with their debut EP All Over out September 23.
